Exciting times in our 3rd-grade classrooms today! The students had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Duane Munsterteiger, the owner of Pleasurewoods Farm in Ogilvie, MN. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn firsthand about farming, nature, and the joys of the great outdoors.
Mr. Munsterteiger shared stories and insights about his farm, sparking curiosity and excitement among our students. And guess what? The learning doesn’t stop here! We’re thrilled to announce that our 3rd graders will be visiting Pleasurewoods Farm later this month. It's sure to be an unforgettable field trip filled with fun, education, and adventure.

What a fantastic day it was outside with Mrs. Mantel and Mrs. Hasselfeldt's classes! With the sun shining bright, our students made the most of the beautiful weather.
Many of our energetic students participated in a vibrant color run, dashing around with smiles. Meanwhile, other students showcased their impressive dance moves, sharing their favorite steps and grooves with classmates. It was a wonderful display of creativity, energy, and joy!

Ms. Koep's first graders have hit a huge milestone in their April reading challenge, and what better way to celebrate than with a fun-filled picnic lunch and recess at Kids’ Kingdom Park!

What better way to celebrate a successful Fun Run fundraiser than with a movie and popcorn? Mrs. Stacy's preschool class celebrated with a cozy award movie session, turning their classroom into a mini-cinema! #FUNRUNFUNDS

Summer is right around the corner...
We wanted to share a share an important resource that could benefit many families during the summer break—the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP).
The SFSP is dedicated to ensuring that children in our community and surrounding areas have access to nutritious meals even when school is not in session. This program is a fantastic opportunity for children to continue receiving healthy meals throughout the summer at no cost.
You can find locations where meals are served by visiting the USDA Summer Meals Site Finder. Just click on the following link: USDA Summer Meals Site Finder.
This tool is easy to use and can help you locate the nearest meal service sites based on your address. The sites are set up in local and surrounding communities, ensuring that help is never too far away.
Please feel free to share this information with others who might benefit from knowing about the availability of free meals during the summer. It’s essential that we spread the word to ensure that no child goes hungry during the school break.

This week, our 6th grade students took an exciting step towards personal growth by engaging in various activities designed to teach them about healthy coping skills. From mindfulness exercises and creative arts to physical activities and group discussions, each student had the opportunity to explore different ways to manage stress and emotions effectively.
It’s not just about having fun; it’s about preparing our students to handle life’s challenges with resilience and positivity. Seeing them engage so enthusiastically in each activity was truly inspiring!

This week, Mrs. Hasselfeldt’s 2nd grade class took their learning outdoors, enjoying the beautiful sunshine while reading about Earth Day. It was the perfect way to combine the joy of reading with the beauty of nature, fostering a deep appreciation for our planet.

The Transitional Kindergarten class has taken advantage of the sunshine to help clean up the playground for Earth Week. Even though they were little and the playground was big, their determination and hard work were bigger!

Today marks Day 26 of Mrs. Rens' exciting kindergarten countdown to the end of the school year, and we're kicking it off with Day A for Art! Our little artists have their creativity in full swing, exploring colors, shapes, and textures to create their own masterpieces.

Minnesota Dental Sealant Day was a shining success! Our team, along with dedicated dental professionals, provided sealants to protect the pearly whites of many of Mora Public Schools' students. The result? Many sparkly teeth and even bigger smiles!

Mrs. Hasselfeldt's class had the wonderful opportunity to take their science lesson outdoors, thanks to a visit from Mrs. Hagle, an enthusiastic education student from SMSU. Under the warm sun and amidst the fresh air, our students explored scientific wonders with an expert-in-training!
It was cool to see our young learners in action, engaging with nature and soaking up knowledge outside the traditional classroom walls. Mrs. Hagle brought exciting activities and experiments that made learning both fun and memorable.
A huge thank you to Mrs. Hagle for making this day special and to Mrs. Hasselfeldt for continually finding innovative ways to inspire her students.

Throw on your caps, your crowns, your bunny ears, and berets because Mrs. Mantel's class just turned the school into a runway of remarkable headwear! Celebrating the fantastic achievement of perfect attendance, these dedicated students marked the occasion with a very special Hat Day.

This morning was extra special. Ms. Fussy gave students a delightful update on Mrs. Halverson's baby chicks. The excitement was palpable as they gathered around, eager for the chance to see and gently pet these fluffy little bundles of joy.
