Homecoming Week Day 4: Jersey Day!
L is for Leaf!
Today in Mrs. Callander’s kindergarten class, we explored the letter L in a super fun way — by making leaf bugs! The kids loved learning all about the letter L while getting creative with nature. Check out these adorable leaf bug creations!
Our 5th graders are hard at work presenting their Early Explorers projects! They’ve researched and created amazing displays to showcase the journeys and discoveries of history’s great explorers
Fifth grade had their annual Veggie Tasting Party this week with Master Gardener Valerie Prax! Students learned about the different parts of plants we eat, like how broccoli is a flower, carrots are the root, and celery is a stem. They also got to “taste the rainbow” by sampling a colorful variety of veggies, including purple cabbage, red beets, yellow peppers, green kale, and white rutabaga.
Many students discovered new favorites, and the fun didn’t stop there! Val brought salsa made with tomatoes from our 5th grade garden and muffins made with beets. A huge thank you to Val for creating such a valuable and delicious learning experience for our students!
Homecoming Week Day 3: Grade Level Color Day was a hit! Each class showed off its unique colors and Mustang pride, making the halls brighter than ever!
Our Mora Elementary students had some ROYAL visitors! The Homecoming Court made a special appearance during recess, and the kids were thrilled!
