In Ms. Bakker's class, students delved into the inspiring biography of Helen Keller! Despite being deaf and blind, Helen Keller triumphed over challenges, mastering sign language, Braille reading, and even letter writing—showcasing incredible hard work and perseverance!
To bring this lesson to life, students got hands-on, creating their names using Braille symbols and adding a tactile touch by gluing dried lentils to the page, mimicking the Braille experience. What a fantastic way to learn and celebrate the remarkable achievements of a true role model!
It's a fun Friday in Mrs. Thor's Class! Today, our outstanding students celebrated being caught up with their work by enjoying some board and card games. It's heartwarming to witness them collaborate and interact not only during academic times but also during play. Building connections and having fun together is essential to the learning experience!
This week, students in Mr. Norvell's 5th grade class are diving into the world of mathematics through a dynamic and interactive activity—Math Bowling! The class is practicing the Order of Operations in a fun and hands-on way. This not only makes learning math enjoyable but also reinforces crucial problem-solving skills.

The anticipation and excitement among the students must be contagious, as they look forward to some well-deserved time off to enjoy the holiday season. May the holiday season bring you as much joy and happiness as you see on their little faces!
A fun trip to the skating rink is a fantastic way for 6th graders to bond, enjoy some physical activity, and create lasting memories. These outings not only offer a break from the traditional classroom setting but also promote social interaction and physical fitness. Skating is not just fun; it helps improve balance, coordination and provides a healthy outlet for energy. We hope this experience was a memorable one!
Fifth grade celebrated the holiday season with some "choice time". Students were able to choose between extra recess, quiet, or skating time. Here are some moments captured by the students who chose skating. Skating is not only a fun physical activity but also a great way for them to enjoy each other's company and create lasting memories.
