Ms. Hambly's first graders had a deliciously fun reward for their stellar attendance - a root beer float party! Celebrating their commitment to coming to school every day, our students enjoyed a sweet treat that was as bubbly and delightful as their bright smiles.
This special treat not only rewarded their dedication but also created a memorable experience that emphasizes the importance of being present and engaged in learning. It's these moments that build a strong classroom community and inspire our young learners to continue striving for excellence.

Dive into the world of geometry with our kindergarteners as they embark on an exciting journey to discover the mysteries of 3D shapes! From cubes to spheres and pyramids, our young learners are getting hands-on, exploring vertices, faces, and edges with curiosity and joy.
This exploration is more than just fun; it's building a foundation for critical thinking and spatial awareness. Watching our kindergarteners light up as they count the corners of a cube or trace the edges of a pyramid is a reminder of the wonder that learning can bring.

Our second graders have made an exciting discovery during their free choice time - Boggle! This classic word game has quickly become a favorite, proving to be not just fun but a fantastic educational tool for young learners.
Boggle encourages our students to explore and play with words, enhancing their vocabulary, spelling skills, and cognitive abilities in a dynamic and engaging way. It's amazing to see them so absorbed, challenging themselves and each other to find new words hidden within the letter grid.
This game is a perfect example of how learning can be both effective and enjoyable. Kudos to our second graders for finding such a creative way to enrich their learning experience. Let's keep the letters tumbling and the minds buzzing!

Our fantastic nutrition staff have really made the elementary feel like a warm weather destination. Millie even came over to check it out and hang out with our students at breakfast!

Ms. Voshell's kindergarteners had a blast celebrating Dr. Seuss's birthday, and what better way to honor this beloved author than with a taste of the classic "Green Eggs and Ham"?
Our little learners dove into the world of Dr. Seuss with excitement, exploring his imaginative stories and rhymes. The highlight? Enjoying delicious (and very green!) eggs and ham, bringing the pages of the book to life right before their eyes. It was a feast not only for the tummy but for the imagination, too.

It was all smiles and cozy vibes in 2nd grade today as we celebrated Pajama Day! Our classroom was transformed into a sea of colorful pajamas, fluffy slippers, and the happiest little learners you've ever seen.
This special day was not just about wearing pajamas to school; it was about bringing a little piece of home into our classroom, sharing stories, and enjoying a comfortable, fun-filled day of learning together. The joy and comfort of being in PJs truly made it a memorable day for everyone involved.

What better way to wrap up an incredible "I Love to Read: Red Carpet Readers" month than with a PJ Day, popcorn, and a movie? Our 3rd graders cozied up in their favorite pajamas, enjoyed some delicious popcorn, and watched "The Tale of Despereaux" - a story they've been exploring during Read Aloud sessions this month.
Seeing the characters come to life on screen after reading the book was a magical experience for our students, enhancing their appreciation for storytelling and literature. It was a heartwarming day filled with laughter, excitement, and the joy of sharing stories together.

In science class, our brilliant second graders embarked on a fascinating journey into the natural world, transforming into the wind and bears in the woods! This imaginative exploration was all about understanding the wonders of seed dispersal and pollination.
As the "wind," they danced through the classroom, spreading seeds far and wide, mimicking nature's way of planting the future. And as "bears," they roamed the "woods," learning how these mighty creatures contribute to the spreading of seeds and the magic of pollination.
This hands-on, playful approach not only made learning fun but deeply enriched our students' understanding of how interconnected and beautifully complex our ecosystem is. A huge round of applause for our little winds and bears for their enthusiasm and creativity in learning about the vital roles they play in nature's lifecycle.

A great 5th and 6th grade band concert tonight. Great job, students!

The DCD department at our school closed out an enchanting I Love to Read month by diving into the whimsical world of "Alice in Wonderland." Following Alice's adventures, our students explored every twist and turn of this classic tale, bringing the magic of reading to life.
But what's a journey to Wonderland without a proper tea party? In true Wonderland fashion, we celebrated our love for reading with a whimsical tea party. Special guests Mr. Qual and Ms. Fussy joined the festivities, adding to the joy and excitement of the day. Their presence made the celebration even more memorable, proving that the joy of reading brings us all together.
From the Mad Hatter's riddles to the Cheshire Cat's grins, our tea party was a heartwarming reflection of the creativity, imagination, and community spirit that books inspire. A huge thank you to everyone who made this magical day possible!
