CABS: Child and Baby-Sitting Safety Class / American Safety & Health
Learn the responsibilities of being a prepared, safe, responsible and professional babysitter. Topics include starting your own babysitting business, child development, behavior guidance, supervision, proper feeding & diapering techniques, personal safety, medical emergencies, basic first aid care and fire safety. Instructor provides baby dolls, bottles and diaper supplies for hands-on participation skills. The course is developed by the American Safety and Health Institute and approved by the American Pediatrics Association. Class participants receive a CABS book and ASHI certification card. Students attend this class independently. Parents are encouraged to review the take-home information and discuss it with their child. Students may bring a snack.
